Our faith and mission
What we Believe
Nicene Creed:
We believe in one God, Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all ages; Light of Light, true God of true God, begotten, not created, of one essence with the Father through Whom all things were made. Who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became man. He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered and was buried; And He rose on the third day, according to the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father; And He will come again with glory to judge the living and dead. His kingdom shall have no end.
And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Creator of life, Who proceeds from the Father, Who together with the Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified, Who spoke through the prophets.
In one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church.
We confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the age to come.
Amen.
Mission Overview
There have been many clicks and much ink spilt in recent times in an attempt to combat the alleged negative behaviours and beliefs of men. Masculinity has become a divisive topic with many online reactionaries rushing to define the qualities of men based upon their wealth, physical strength and power over others. The Church in the West has also seen a dramatic decline in attendance with many men finding themselves new teachers to model their lives upon. We believe that God is calling men to serve him with zeal in these times of adversity and that Christ-centred men are needed to push back the darkness in our culture and demonstrate true masculinity and leadership.
We believe that God has called His men to be different, and to live for Christ in a way that impacts the culture around us. The aim of Men for God (MFG) is to equip Christian men in our cultural context to walk in a manner worthy of the calling of Christ. We want to ask the uncomfortable questions men face and point our brothers to the answer, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Through our backgrounds as Royal Marines Commandos we have seen the beauty of what going through arduous times together with other men can produce. We replicate some of what we have experienced in the Royal Marines, along with insights from Biblical teaching
and our personal experiences as Christ followers to help Christian men walk along the narrow path.
Jesus exemplifies what a strong man looks like: courageous, obedient, loving, and sacrificial. If we are to live lives as men pleasing to God we must look to Jesus, deny ourselves and follow Him. MFG aims to challenge and edify men physically, mentally and spiritually for their good and the good of their local church.

Sam Logan
Sam’s story is a powerful testament to God’s grace and transformative power. At 19, while caught in a life of drugs and rebellion, Sam encountered Jesus at a dance festival in Alexandra Palace. In that moment, God spared him, set him free from sin, and gave him a new purpose.
Just six months after his life-changing conversion, Sam joined the military as a Royal Marines Commando. During his service, God taught him invaluable lessons about discipline, resilience, and trust. While deployed in Afghanistan in 2011, Sam experienced the profound depth of Scripture and the importance of relying fully on God, even in the most challenging circumstances.
After leaving the Royal Marines, Sam spent two years serving in the chaplaincy at HMS Drake, where he ministered to servicemen and women, sharing the hope and truth of the Gospel. Following this, Sam founded a personal training company, combining his passion for fitness with his desire to help others grow stronger—physically, mentally, and spiritually.
Today, Sam is dedicated to empowering others to live with purpose, strength, and faith. His unique journey—from brokenness to redemption, from the battlefield to the gym—fuels his mission to challenge and inspire men to pursue Christ wholeheartedly and lead with courage in every area of life.
